I made a call and got a message that the number is programmed not to receive calls, what is that?

It is common in these situations that you have already managed to call this number before, or even manage to speak afterwards. There is no way to be sure of the reason for the unavailability, but the main causes are:

  • airplane mode on
  • SIM card (chip) disabled
  • “Do Not Disturb” mode activated
  • Number that appears to the receiver is marked as SPAM (blocked at destination)

It is worth remembering that some cell phones have features to facilitate marking a number as SPAM (such as Samsung's Smat Call), and this information is shared with other similar devices.

And when the block is at the destination, it is normal that calling from another number you can talk normally. One solution is to change the fixed bin of your number, or put the identification (if you don't have it yet). For both solutions, just fill out this form.
