Attach file in Lead detail

When we talk about commercial process at some point we know that it will be necessary to send a material or proposal to the lead, right?


With that in mind, we've applied the file attachment improvement! It is now possible to add files in the lead detail. The files will be stored on a card that is now found at the bottom of the page:



It's very simple, just click on the icon to attach:



Select the file on your computer and that's it, the system will show the message File attached successfully! The card will show the file name, size, user who performed the attach action, and the date of the attachment.


For now, you can attach as many files as you want, as long as you respect the following conditions:

  • Unable to attach files in .exe and .sql formats
  • Files must respect the maximum size and 15mb
  • The storage limit is 500mb


It is also possible to download the files, just pass the mouse cursor over the file and the option will be enabled:

Why doesn't this card appear for me?

Are we going to have the file recorded on the timeline?

Initially, the timeline will not appear, but suggestions for improvement will be opened


Do I have a storage limit?

Yes, the  storage limit is 500mb and the same file cannot be shared with multiple leads and for each lead it is necessary to attach a file. Storage packages will be available soon.


And file limit per lead?

Also no, you will be able to attach as many files as you need.


Do the files have an expiration date?

No. As long as the account is active, the data will be saved on the platform.


Is there permission to attach files?

No, all users who have access to the lead will be able to attach files. Card interaction permission depends on lead detail permission . Anyone with Lead Detail permission will be able to interact with the card. Card permission will be implemented in the future. 


Where will the data be stored?

Attachments will be stored in the same database as the rest of Spotter's data.


If I duplicate the lead, are the files duplicated as well?

No, files are not duplicated in lead duplication.


If I delete the lead, what happens to the files?

They are also excluded. Remember: both the deletion of the lead and the files are irreversible.


Can I use the lead file in the email center?

These files cannot be attached to the e-mail center directly by Spotter. The user will have to download and attach it manually in the center. But do not worry! This scenario is already on our radar and we are studying this solution ;)


Will these files be shown in the public link?

It will not be possible to view the attachments card in the public link, but we are already looking into this issue.


If I need to export all attachments, how do I do it?
