API - Connecting Spotter to PowerBI

Microsoft PowerBI is the data analysis and visualization tool. In this article, we will deal with the integration with PowerBI using the Exact Sales API made available so that customers can carry out their own integrations with our system, facilitating the exchange of information.

To make this connection you will need your exact token, which can be found in your  Spotter account , and  Microsoft PowerBI desktop .



getting your token


1. Log in to the  Exact Spotter page  .

  • Enter your email and password and click Login.

 

2. After login, locate the  Token Exact Api To do so, access  Menu Settings > Integrations > Token Exact API .

 

3. After opening the Token Exact API page  , copy your token:




Performing the integration 


1.  Sign in to  PowerBI desktop


2.  Go to Get data

  • Select Web



3.  When opening the web configuration, select the  Advanced option.


Web configuration according to the data below:


1. Parts of URL  field  , enter the url of the desired endpoint:  https://api.exactspotter.com/v3/QualificationHistories


2. HTTP request header parameters , fill in: 1st field with  Content-Type 

2º campo com application/json


3.  Click  Add Header  and fill in:

1st field with  token_exact

2nd field with  your token (copy and paste from Spotter)

4.  Click  OK When opening the settings select the complete url, and click  Connect :


5. Once the integration is complete, a  table will open in PowerQuery  and you will be able to use the data as needed.
